Using the Peptide Calculator: A Worked Example
Say you have a 10 mg vial and you want a 2 mg dose. You add 3 mL of bacteriostatic water.
Step by step
- Concentration = 10 mg ÷ 3 mL = 3.33 mg/mL.
- Volume for a 2 mg dose = 2 ÷ 3.33 = 0.6 mL.
- On a U-100 insulin syringe, 1 mL = 100 units, so 0.6 mL = 60 units.
